Bison  women's swimming swept in double dual meet at York

YORK, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women’s swimming team lost a double dual meet on Friday evening at York (Pa.) College as the Bison lost 165-40 to the host Spartans and 127-75 against Penn St.-Altoona in 11 events.

Senior Carlisle Robinson (Carmel, Ind.) won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.88. Robinson finished third overall in the 200-yard freestyle (2:10.24) but against the respective teams her time was good for second place. Sophomore Tong Song (Beijing, China) was fourth overall in the 200 IM (2:41.01) and the 100-yard breaststroke as she touched the wall in 1:21.75. Her times were second against Penn St.-Altoona but third against the Spartans. Gallaudet was swept by York in the 1,000-yard freestyle but the Bison placed fourth, fifth and sixth in the event to sweep Penn St.-Altoona. Senior Kate Johnson (Lake Alexander, Minn.) led the event for the Buff and Blue with a time of 14:22.08 to place fourth.

Gallaudet (2-4) will host Salem International University from West Virginia on Saturday, December 11, at 1 p.m.
