WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Gallaudet University men's and women's swimming team officially announced its 2009-10 schedule on Wednesday. The Bison will have two home meets at the Field House along with trips to Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Gallaudet will begin the season at home on Saturday, October 31, as the Bison welcome Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) defending champion University of Mary Washington and Salisbury University for a 1 p.m. double dual meet. A week later, GU heads to St. Mary's (Md.) College to face the Seahawks and former CAC member Goucher College, now a member of the Landmark Conference. The November 7 double dual meet at SMC will be a sneak peek for the Bison of the venue for the CAC championships. A month later the Bison will close out the fall semester with a trip to York, Pa., to face the York (Pa.) College Spartans and Penn St.-Altoona in a double dual meet on December 12.
The Bison will begin the 2010 calendar year on January 16 in Roanoke, Va., against Hollins and Salem. GU will make the short trip to Arlington, Va., a week later to face CAC foe Marymount (Va.) University and Frostburg State University at 6 p.m. on January 22. Two days later, GU will host its final home meet of the season as the Bison welcome Hood College to the Field House for a 1 p.m. meet. The final regular-season meet for Gallaudet will occur on January 27 in Baltimore against College of Notre Dame.
The 2009-10 CAC Swimming Championships return to St. Mary's City, Md., once again as the three-day event begins on February 12.
