GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its student-athlete of the week awards for April 16 and Gallaudet University freshman Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) was selected as the NEAC Softball Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

Neild posted a .474 batting average in a 2-4 week for the Bison. The freshman shortstop went 9-for-19 with eight extra-base hits. She tallied five doubles, one triple and two home runs while driving in 10 runs. Neild also scored seven times, drew three walks and had one stolen base. In the field, she recorded 13 putouts, nine assists and turned three double plays. In her four league games, Neild had six RBI, two runs scored and four extra-base hits.

Penn St.-Berks junior Jess Rozick was named NEAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week. She did not allow a run and struck out 26 batters to earn two wins and a save in three conference games last week. She allowed three hits with nine strikeouts and just one walk in a 2-0 win over Wilson College. In the second game against Wilson, she picked up a save by striking out the final batter with the tying run on base. Rozick closed out the week with a school-record 16 strikeouts in a shutout over Penn St.-Abington.

This marks the third NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the Bison this season and Neild's second honor of her career.
