COBLESKILL, N.Y. - Gallaudet University dropped a tough 4-2 men's soccer game here Saturday to SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game.
Gallaudet (1-13-1, 1-8 NEAC) fell behind early to SUNY Cobleskill (8-4-4, 6-1-2 NEAC) and had to chase the Fighting Tigers the entire game. SUNY Cobleskill kept pressure on the Bison goal as it took 34 shots (17 in each half) as the Fighting Tigers scored two early goals within the first 22 minutes. The host took a 2-0 lead in to halftime.
In the second half, sophomore forward Chad Johnson (Gardena, Calif.) scored his eighth goal of the season with an unassisted score at the 51:18 mark.
The game remainded a one-goal game until the final six minutes to play when the Fighting Tigers scored two of the final three goals.
Gallaudet senior defender Elan Markel (University Park, Md.) scored his first goal of the season at the 88:40 mark to cut the SUNY Cobleskill lead to one, 3-2.
A minute later, SUNY Cobleskill scored the fourth goal with 23 seconds left in regulation.

- The Bison had 15 shots in the game, 11 in the second half

Gallaudet heads back to the nation's capital and will close out the regular-season schedule at home next weekend. GU will host Cazenovia College (4-9-2, 1-7-1 NEAC) on Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
