	Bill Snape

Bill Snape is the head coach of the Gallaudet men's and women's swim teams. A high school All-American and native of Moorestown, New Jersey - he brings a wealth of experience to the university. Snape is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where he swam, played water polo and was a magna cum laude graduate of the honors college. While at UCLA, he began coaching competitive age-group swim teams in California, New Jersey and Virginia.

Immediately following college graduation, Snape served as the associate head swim coach at George Washington University for three seasons, while earning a law degree. Despite a temporary absence from collegiate swim coaching, he has been both a youth soccer and high school cross-country coach over the past decade, while also participating as a masters' swimmer and water polo player. Snape was the head attorney at a local firm in Washington, DC and has since gone on to begin his own legal practice.

"I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to lead Gallaudet's swim program," said Snape. "There is no question in my mind that there can be immediate and long-term successes with this program at such a premier university." He currently resides in Washington, DC with his wife and their two sons, ages eleven and eight.
