Salisbury edges Gallaudet, 45-39
SALISBURY, Md.--Gallaudet put together a fierce rally, coming back from a 22-point deficit in the first half to close within six but could not convert for the win, with the Sea Gulls taking the game 45-39.
Sophomore forward Brittainy Payne led the Bison with a double-double, posting 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds as well as three blocks.
Freshman Nukeitra Hayes narrowly missed adding another double-double, with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Hayes also had three blocks. Junior Priscilla Biskupiak added 8 points
The factor in the loss was Gallaudet's 25 turnovers, which resulted in 26 converted points for the Sea Gulls.
The Bison (3-18, 0-14 CAC) will have a break until Saturday when
they take on the St. Mary's College Seahawks on the road. Then the
Buff and Blue will close out the regular season with a pair of home
games. Monday February 18 is Think Pink! Night, with the game
against McDaniel College set to go at 7:30. Wednesday February 20
is Senior Night, with York College visiting. Tip time is at 6:00
p.m.
