Salisbury tops Gallaudet in conference twinbill

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Bison took on the defending conference champion Sea Gulls of Salisbury University in continuing conference play. Salisbury prevailed in 17-0 and 18-0 decision.
Gallaudet had a combined six hits over two games, with Lori Hower putting in a 2-for-2 performance in the first game. Senior Keri Schmidt and freshman Alicia Balzer each went 1-for-3.
Game two saw Kallie Williams and Schmidt pick up hits in the third off singles. Pitcher Jenna Owens put in back-to-back performances on the mound, facing 29 batters in the first game and 39 in the second.

Williams leads the Bison offense with a .468 average off 29 hits
in 62 at-bats. In conference-only stats, Williams is in the #2 spot
with a .483 average and 28 hits in 58 at-bats. She has also scored
24 runs (#5 CAC) and has 21 RBI (tied #3, CAC).
Caitlin Mosholder leads the conference with 12 doubles, while Alicia Balzer has a conference-high four triples.
Three Bison are 1-2-3 in the stolen base category, with Williams's 16 at the top. Schmidt and Balzer have 15 and 10, respectively.
Pitcher Colleen Tighe is at #5 conference-wide for batters struck out, with 43 K's to date.
