Gallaudet drops twinbill to Mary Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Buff and Blue hosted Mary Washington in a conference doubleheader. The Eagles picked up a pair of wins with 12-0, 17-1 decisions.

Game One
Bison pitcher Colleen Tighe was injured in the first game, forcing a game-time lineup change. Colleen Caverly and Devin Quinn stepped up to finish the game for Tighe. The Eagles capitalized on the change to extend their lead another seven runs.

On offense, catcher Kallie Williams (.475 BA) and infielder Lori Hower (.368 BA) both went 1-for-2.  

Game Two
Caitlin Mosholder picked up the a hit for the Bison in the bottom of the second. The Bison bats were quiet until freshman Alicia Balzer tripled and extended it to an inside the park home run in the final inning to deny the Eagles another shutout.

Pitcher Jenna Owens worked a complete game, picking up four strikeouts.

Gallaudet (4-9-1, 0-3 CAC) has a two-day break in play before hosting the Gallaudet Invitational on Saturday and Sunday March 29-30. Hood College, Wells College and the College of Notre Dame will be participating.
