Aqua-Bison Jimmy McGowan named CAC Athlete of the Week
ST.MARY'S CITY, MD--The Capital Athletic Conference announced freshman Jimmy McGowan as its Athlete of the Week. Spurred by McGowan, the Gallaudet men’s swim team won their first meet of the season with a 100-71 victory over Goucher College. The freshman from Florida broke two more team records: one in winning the 100 Freestyle (51.60) and the other leading off the 200 Free Relay with a 50 Free time of 23.15. He additionally won the 200 Free, cruising home in 2:01.45. To date, McGowan has broken four school records, one of them as part of a relay team in less than one month.
