Gallaudet Defeated by Southern Virginia 4-1
The men's soccer team played Southern Virginia College today on Hotchkiss Field in a rematch of a game the two teams played Sept. 12. Despite playing tough, going into halftime with a 1-0 deficit, Gallaudet lost 4-1.
Gallaudet's goal was scored by Jonathan Penny on a penalty shot as time expired. The goal was the second Penny scored in the past two games at the end of regulation. The Bison played hard and agressive throughout the game and made it difficult for Southern Virginia to get easy shots and spent most of the last part of the second half around the Southern Virginia goal.
Gallaudet goes to 0-13 on the season, while Southern Virginia goes to 4-5-2. Gallaudet's next game will be at Hotchkiss Field Monday, October 13 at 7 pm against St. Mary's (MD.) College.
