Marymount edges Gallaudet in Bison home opener

WASHINGTON, DC--The Bison continued conference play as they hosted the Marymount University Saints. The Buff and Blue defense opened aggressively, limiting the Saint offense to only five shots. In a 45-minute half where time starts at 45:00 and counts downwards to 00:00, the Saints did not score until the 11:52 mark, when Andrew Stearns snuck a ball past Bison goalie David Owens' right side. This would be the only score the fleet feet of the Bison would allow.
Over the second half, the Saints found holes in the Bison defense and capitalized on them, scoring in the 48th and 63rd minutes. Saints Mecael Getachew and James Poulsen were the ones scoring--Getachew's goal was off an assist from Alex Lubinsky.
The Bison (0-4) continue their search for 2007's first victory as they take on Southern Virginia University in non-conference play.
