Despite Tony Tatum's 23 Points and 6 Assists, Gallaudet Suffers 86-80 Defeat

Despite the efforts of Tony Tatum and Sekoe White who gave everything they could today in a valiant effort against a much bigger Mary Washington squad, Gallaudet suffered an 86-80 loss.
Tatum made 10-13 shots today, including three 3-pointers, and finished with 23 points and 6 assists. White was 7-12 from the floor and finished with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals despite playing just 28 minutes due to foul trouble. As a team, Gallaudet shot 32-63 from the floor, including 10-23 from behind the 3-point line.
Jon Mowl scored 10 points, dished out 4 assists, and had 2 steals. Gallaudet was down by ten at half-time, but fought back hard in the second half, making several rallies to close the game to 1, but Mary Washington responded with a score everytime Gallaudet made it a one basket game. Galllaudet hit a couple big three pointers down the stretch, but was unable to stop Mary Washington from scoring inside down the stretch, especially 6'9 center Brandon Altmann, who finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds.
Jeremy Thrush
came off the bench to score 12 points. Lance Gonzalez also
gave Gallaudet a spark on defense, finishing with 2 points, 2
rebounds, 4 assists, and one steal in 12 minutes.
Gallaudet is 10-12. They next play on Wednesday night in the Field House at 8 pm vs. Salisbury.
