Gallaudet falls to St. Mary's, 109-76
ST.MARY'S CITY, Md.--Lance Gonzalez led the Buff and Blue for the second straight outing as he poured in 20 points in a 109-76 conference loss.
The Seahawks got on top 17-10 early in the game, and the Bison answered with an 18-9 run to take a 28-26 lead. However, this would be the only lead Gallaudet would have for the game as the Seahawks regained the lead later in the half.
The Buff and Blue shot 70% from the line, making all but 10 of their 33 free throws. Junior guard Jon Mowl was near perfect, making 7 of his 8 trips to the charity stripe. Mowl finished with 18 points, 5 assists and a game-high 6 steals.
Senior forward Onye Davis was the third Bison to finish in double figures, posting 13 points including a three-pointer.
Gallaudet (6-18, 4-11) takes a few days off until the season
finale when they host York College at the Field House on Wednesday,
February 20. Tip time is set for 8 p.m.
