Bison win over Randolph, 74-57

WASHINGTON, DC—The Bison hosted the Wildcats of Randolph College in the second game of a Tuesday night doubleheader. The Bison won, 74-57. Tonight was the first time this season that the Field House saw both Bison teams put together winning performances (the women won over Trinity, 81-73).

The Buff and Blue took advantage of scoring opportunities, building a 14 point lead at the 9-minute mark in the first half. The Wildcats could not get into double digits scoring until the 6-minute mark off a three-pointer that made it 22-13.

Gallaudet took a 14-point lead (32-18) off a Johnny Jackson spin move that found the bottom of the net, into the locker rooms.

When play picked up in the second half, the Bison stretched their lead to 22 points, 41-18 on a 9-0 scoring run. The Wildcats picked up a pair of baskets to make it 44-22 at the 15-minute mark.

The Buff and Blue never gave up their lead as they would go on to win by 17. Bison guard Jon Mowl had a career-high 28 points off 5-for-8 from the three-point arc. He also had two assists, one block and two steals. Onye Davis had a double-double, posting 11 points and pulling down 12 boards. Lance Gonzalez had 10 points.
