Bison fall to Juniata, 82-58

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Buff and Blue resumed play tonight at
home against Juniata College in a 82-58 loss.
Gallaudet played with the bigger Eagles in the first half, as the
lead went back and forth with both sides capitalizing on scoring
opportunities. Both teams were averaging 34 rebounds a game coming
into the match-up tonight.
The Eagles converted turnovers into points as they put together a
19 point lead to go into the locker rooms up 43-24.
Over the second half, Gallaudet put together an offensive surge,
nearly breaking the 10-point cushion that the Eagles had built.
However, turnovers and missed field goals hampered
Gallaudet’s efforts as Juniata connected on 39 % of their
shots from three point range.
The Bison continued to work on their offense as they played catch
up basketball but could not get any closer than 13 points.
Guard Jon Mowl paced the Bison with 13 points, and a team-high 4
assists. Senior forward Onye Davis picked up 12 points and 8
rebounds to lead the rebounding effort. Lance Gonzalez and Chi Ming
Pun each had 10 points. The Buff and Blue shot 70% from the charity
stripe.
The Bison (1-10, 1-3 CAC) take on the University of Mary Washington

2008. Tip time is set for 6:00 p.m.
