Gallaudet came into their game with SUNY-Maritime hoping to build on the momentum from their win last week over Becker College, but were unable to handle SUNY-Maritime, falling 27-0. The main difference in the game was the time of possession, as SUNY-Maritime controlled the ball for 38 1/2 minutes while Gallaudet was on offense for 21 1/2 minutes, including 8 1/2 minutes in the first quarter.
Gallaudet's two quarterbacks split time on offense. Fletch Kuehne was 7 for 13 for 68 yards and completed his longest pass for 27 yards to wide receiver Kevin Alley. Jimmy Gardner was 5 for 8 for 80 yards, including a 47 yard pass to wide receiver Derrick Williams. Alley finished with 4 catches for 47 yards and Williams finished with 2 catches for 46 yards. Running back Scott Lehmann carried the ball 13 times for 37 yards. The team drove into the red zone twice, but was unable to capitalize.
On defense, Jared Vollmer led Gallaudet's defense with 7 tackles and 3 assists. Richard Bailey and David Uzzell had one sack apiece. Gallaudet finished the game with just 3 penalties for 33 yards.
