Wolverines Take Two

Dover, DE.- Gallaudet University traveled to CAC foe Wesley College on a dreary Saturday and dropped both ends of the double-header, 19-0 and 14-2.

The Wolverines jumped out early in game one as they tallied 18 runs (13 earned) over the first three innings.  Starting pitcher Jeremy Shepps had a rough outing as he lasted only 2.2 innings, giving up 16 runs (11 earned).  The bullpen shut the door on Wesley and only gave up three runs over the next 3.1 innings.  Brook Fox was stellar in relief as he pitched the final three innings, giving up one hit and one run.

Wesley pitcher Bobby Buttafogo pitched a complete game three hitter, walking only two batters as he shut-out the Bison in game one of the double-dip.

Game two started much the same as the first as the Wolverines took a 9-0 lead through three innings and 14-0 through five innings.  The starting pitcher for the Wolverines, Ryan Doran, went five scoreless innings giving up four hits, and striking out two.

Leading the Bison offensively was Zane Noschese who went 3/3 with one run scored.

Gallaudet is back in action tomorrow as they travel to St. Mary's College for a double-header.
