Eagles Soar Past Bison for Season Sweep
Fredericksburg, VA.- The Bison dropped
their third game in two days against the University of Mary
Washington today, 16-0. This game takes Gallaudet's season
record to 0-10 in the CAC and 2-12-1 overall.
A day after Gallaudet University came the closest it's ever been to
breaking the fifteen year conference losing streak, against the
University of Mary Washington at home, the Bison turned in another
tough performance in losing 16 - 0 to the Eagles. The Eagles threw
a near no-hitter as Mary Washington's Dan Murdoch threw 6 hitless
innings and his relief Parker Talbert closed the game with an
almost flawless inning, giving up a two out single to Gallaudet
freshman Jeremy
Shepps to end the no-hitter.
Zane
Noschese took the mound for the Bison, scuffling through 2.2
innings and giving up 6 earned runs before finally coming out for
Johnny Bingham
in the bottom of the 3rd. Errors marred Noschese's
outing, as the Gallaudet defense committed several crucial errors
that allowed Mary Washington to pad their lead. Bingham would
subsequently handcuff the Eagles offense, giving up no earned runs
in his 2.2 inning stint.
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to
Wesley College for a single game. First pitch is slated for
3:30pm.
