WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gallaudet University made a special announcement to the campus community this week about parking lot closures for this weekend due to the WORLDEAF Cinema Festival. These closures will affect fans planning to attend Saturday night’s Gallaudet football game against SUNY Maritime scheduled for 6 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field.
There will only be one entrance to campus open this weekend and that is the main entrance off Florida Ave. The parking lots closed include the parking garage behind the Field House and spaces adjacent to it and including those spots in front of Elstad Auditorium. All parking spaces in front of College Hall and the lower level of the Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) will be closed as well. These parking lots will close from Friday, November 5, at 5 p.m. and will remain closed until Sunday, November 7, at 5 p.m. Any vehicles remaining in any of these locations after 5 p.m. on Friday, November 5, are subject to relocation to another campus parking area at the owner’s risk.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow more time to walk across campus to the football game. Gallaudet Department of Public Safety officers will help direct traffic when you enter campus and alert you to the closes parking area. The 6th street parking garage will be the main parking area. Please consult the campus map below.
